Hey Mr. DJ

What movie is this screen capture from? (girl playing a record)
Someone I know is trying to win a contest that requires identifying very short clips from tons of movies, and only has one more to go!
here is the image
Thanks!

No..the record player is too new. It reminds me of the Sandra Dee scene, but I think I'm way off.

Um, can you post the video clip? I'm pretty ace at this game, but I can't tell who that woman is, and I don't think it's Fran McDormand, Zooey Deschanel or anyone else from Almost Famous.

Nope, it's Valley Girl, the scene at the slumber party.

On this IMDB, there's a reference to the A & M label on the record. But I recognised the wallpaper from the movie.

the video clip is less than a second long, and thats the best frame of it

Another guess for Almost Famous, but I'm not sure.

the boy in almost famous had darker hair, so I doubt it's him. zooey desch has black hair, methinks.
the frame does not look like a 35mm print, even if it is rezised to 4:3. the dithering around the head suggests to me it's not even HD. perhaps beta. perhaps this is a music video but I doubt it's from a cinematic release.

I have Valley Girl on DVD (don't ask) so I just checked it out, and Maisie Jay is correct; it's the slumber party scene.
