Looking for a specific (and admitedly ugly) camera strap.

I'm looking for a specific Nikon camera neck strap that I think might only be sold in Japan.

It's blue and yellow and says "NIKON For Professional" on it. There's a picture of it right here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/straightfinder/553323276/

I saw it on this guy's Flickr stream months ago and I've been looking for it since. I did send him a message about it, but I never got a reply. Has anyone else seen this thing in the wild and/or know where I can get one?

I'd leave an actual comment on the photo page.. sometimes it's hard to see that little envelope in the upper-right. And if you still don't get a response, the Nikonians forum is a better place to field your question.

Funnily enough I have the same one though it's blue and white rather than blue and yellow. And while I have no idea if it is only available there, yes, I did get mine in Japan.

Looks like a Nikon NPS item: Nikon Pro. You have to be recommended to join.

I've been an NPS member for around 30 years.

To my knowledge there have never been any Nikon swag items specifically available only to NPS members (unless you count the all important card and membership number that gets us expedited repair, loaner, and procurement). Whoo-hoo!

I think the Nikon "billboard" straps which are supplied with all of the DSLR's are about as butt-ugly and non-functional as a camera strap can get, what with no no swivels, etc.

Each to his or her own, IMHO but the strap in that picture has "wanna be" written all over it.

Of course, if you just want it for a collection, and not to actually wear, disregard my last sentence.
