Missing book from childhood

Looking for children's book with a teddy bear and a full moon.

I cannot remember or find a book I read as a child (therefore this book has got to be at least 15 years old). I may even have the plot a little off, but from what I remember, the cover of the book is dark blue and it had a giant, yellow full moon and a teddy bear. And no, it is not Goodnight Moon (http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/P/0694003611.01._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-dp-500-arrow,TopRight,45,-64_AA240_SH20_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg).

I think the story goes in the sense that the teddy bear eats the full moon because it is some sort of pie, I honestly cannot recollect. I read the book at the elementary library and have never been able to find it since (yes, we are talking years).

I have a little girl and would love to have this as part of our bedtime reading collection. Please help! I would gather the book is from 10-15 years old because I read it when I was 8 years old and I am 25 now. If anyone could help, I would be sincerely appreciative.

I bet the book you're looking for is by Frank Asch. He had some books about a bear and the moon. One has the cover you describe, another is about eating the moon. I'm sure I had Mooncake as a kid. Here's Happy Birthday Moon.
