Haunted House near Providence, RI?

I'm looking for a good haunted house near Providence, Rhode Island. I'm a college student without a car, so I have very limited mobility - in fact, if you know of anything within waking distance of College Hill in Providence, that's best. I can, however, get access to a car if need be (I feel like this may be a better option in the end, as cities rarely produce a good atmosphere). Thanks in advance.

The basement of the international house at Brown was the scariest thing I've ever seen. We're talking dripping water into pools, old rooms, no lights... very, very scary.
Of course, that was 5 years ago.

I have a friend in Art House who said they are putting on a Haunted House this year, but I don't know the details.

Also, last year another friend and I went trick-or-treating in the neighborhood behind Andrews, and on one block of one street all the houses had gone all out, and one person had basically set up a haunted house for trick-or-treaters to go through. But we didn't have the guts to check it out because we had already been getting comments on our age.

After Googling around a bit, here are some "real" possibilities you might want to check out. (Not sure how far you/your friends will be willing to drive).

SpookyWorld (Boston, I'm going assume you could take the bus and then the T to this)
Salem Haunted Happenings (Okay, even farther than Boston but also accessible by T)
Foxboro Jaycees Haunted House (Foxboro - half an hour drive)
Providence Ghost Door (Not a haunted house, but in Providence!)
Field of Screams (West Greenwich, RI...I have no idea where this is)
Haunted Labyrinth (Cranston, RI)
Trails to Terror (Wakefield, RI)

Here is the Projo's Fall Guide to Halloween.

The original Spooky World closed down a few years ago, but there is a new one at the Bayside Expo Center. (I have trouble imagining a haunted house in an expo center.). Salem is just sort of corny. It is fun to people watch, but it is sort of hectic. However, the Pirate Museum is hilarious. Nothing beats a tour here since, if you get the right guide, the pirate talk is blended with a thick Massachusetts accent which will have you laughing for the entire tour.

Factory of Fear in Fall River, MA is kind of near Providence, but it sucked big time. At least, it did three years ago.

You could go to Techhouse's (at Brown) "JavaSpook" on October 28th for music and free coffee and snacks. You're guaranteed to see something moderately frightening (not a haunted house, but a house with interesting people haunting it.)

I also recommend trick or treating on Benefit Street. Fancy houses = better candy, trust me.

If they havent bulldozed it by now, the abandoned produce factory behind Providence Place is one of the freakiest buildings ive ever been in.
