Help me see the Sox!

Tickets for a Red Sox game...tonight. Of course, there's....

At an incredibly intense training workshop, and have mysteriously found an empty evening. I'm 2 blocks from Fenway park. I, and at least 2-3 friends, would LOVE to see the Sox.

Is there a better/worse place/way to find tickets now, 3 hours before the game?

How much should we expect to pay? None of us care about how good the seats are...

Any tips? We're walking down to the park, but if there is anyone in the are with specific tips, we'd love them!

Game Day tickets at Fenway.

Not sure you'll get more than a couple seats together, but it's worth a try. You can also try your luck with one of the many skeevy looking scalpers who hang around the park. Not recommended, but the tickets are usually legit.

go to the ticket office as soon as you get there. they often have some returns. usually from tickets the opposing team didn't use.

Scalpers will tear your wallet apart. starting price is usually around $100.00, lower the closer to game time.

You could try to crawl under the fence near the back of the player's parking lot. Careful, there may be a waiting line to do this since the newspaper ran an expose last week.

1. Check Craigslist Boston for last minute ticket sales.
2. They do often release day-of tickets at the box office- there's a window at Fenway (near one of the gates, I can't remember which one) but there's usually a long line of people hoping for the same thing.
3. Scalp. Walk from the exit of the Kenmore T stop towards the ballpark, and you will see them. Expect to pay $50 per ticket for bleacher/crappy seats, more for better seats.

Good luck!

StubHub has some. I think for same day tickets, you can pick them up from one of their locations. I'm not sure how that works though.. never tried it.

Good luck! :)

My wife and I once drive 12 hours to Fenway, walked up, bought great tickets for $40/apiece from a scalper, walked in to find the first inning underway, and saw a damned fine game.

That's the only time I've bought tickets from a scalper, but I was entirely happy with the results.

Right next to gate C, and it's normally very long.

I'd go with scalpers. There's a ton of them, and near game time the prices aren't that bad.
