Where could I watch the World Cup in Providence, Rhode Island?

I live in Providence and don't have a tv. My local friends who have cable aren't that interested in watching, also, they're usually at work when games are on. Which leaves me seeking solace in public places. So, does anyone know of anywhere in Providence that'll be showing the games? Bonus points if it's downtownish (where I work).

Any pub with multiple TVs should put it on, especially during the day.

If you're willing to climb the hill, how about checking in with some of the special-interest groups at Brown? F'rinstance, under "cultural/identity," there's contact info for African and Cape Verdean student groups, the German Club, the "Brownzilians"; the "recreational" list includes clubs for Grad Students' Soccer, Women's Soccer, etc. etc.

I remember watching a couple of Italy matches for each of the last 3 World Cups at Dolce Vita in DePasquale Square on Federal Hill.

Side note: I've never seen so many grown/elderly men cry as when Italy lost the final to Brazil in 1994. Damn you, Roberto Baggio, damn you!

Best answer: As a follow-up, I'm fairly certain the bartenders at McFadden's will change the channel to allow you to watch it. There are, like, 20 televisions in the entire bar.

Response by poster: LouMac (re: Baggio): Sometimes you win 'em all, except the one that matters.
