I've been sent this photo as an inspiration for a crochet baby blanket re colors.
Can you help me find high quality acrylic/acrylic blends that fit these colors? I'll basically be color blocking the pattern. Thanks!
Best answer: I've used and liked Cascade Yarns (link is to a soft acrylic). Off the top of my head, I would consider:
71 Apricot Ice
07 Silver
76 Agate Green
77 Light Aqua
75 Dusty Blue
24 Denim

Best answer: I don't work with acrylic much, but I would look at Knitpicks. Brava Sport looks like a really good option.

Response by poster: I like acrylics for baby blankets bc easy washing and no worries about wool allergies. There are some really nice feeling ones out there, I just suck at colors.

Best answer: Berocco Vintage is my go-to for gifts, it’s not the most robust yarn out there but it’s a washable blend and comes in a ton of colors and is vastly nicer than a big box craft store acrylic. Comes in a couple different weights but I’ve linked to the worsted. I’m very sensitive to wool and despite it being a blend I dont find it to be itchy in the slightest.
Mochi 5101 for the white
Sage 5199 for the softest green
Cork 5144 for the medium tan
Verde 51123 for the darkest teal
Fondant 5110 for the lightest coral pink
Grapefruit 51180 for the medium pink
Overcast 51183 for the cool grey
Electric 51133 for the bright turquoise
That is, of course, way too many colors.
Pastel combo would be: white, sage, lightest pink, cool grey
Medium combo would be: medium tan, medium pink, darkest teal, cool grey
Contrast combo would be: white, lightest pink, darkest teal, medium tan
What I would choose (very bold): all three greens, medium pink, medium tan
Neutral combo (if recipient is having a sad beige baby): cool grey, medium tan, white, sage
Generally go with one or two neutrals, one warm color, one cool color, and maybe a particularly bright or dark pop.

Best answer: Ah! Here are my picks from Brava Sport, following your inspo pic top to bottom.
Mint
Fig
Almond
Tidepool
Seashell
Blush
Dove Heather
Tranquil
I left out white--not sure if that is part of the inspo or not.
