Escrow service for small crowdfunding campaign

I want to run a crowdfunding campaign. I'd prefer to avoid the 8%+ fees associated with Indiegogo, Kickstarter, etc. I've found a couple of escrow services (Morningstar, Myloanweb) that seem like they might do this, but they have not responded to my inquiries. Any other options?
FWIW, the number of backers would be small (probably fewer than 20), but the monetary amount would be pretty large (about $16,000).
