1970s Disney World Ride Where Track Seemed to Disappear...

I am trying to remember a ride in the 1970s at Disney World — it may have been the Space Mountain coaster, it might have been Peter Pan? — where it looked like you were on a track, and then suddenly the track 'disappeared' and it suddenly seemed like you were flying unsupported through the air. Am I somehow imagining this or does anyone recall this experience?

I think it's Peter Pan!

The boarding area of Peter Pan's flight looks like a regular "step onto the moving walkway and board your ship" ride, and you begin in the nursery but your ship then flies out of the window. Right before that you can see the track below you end because you're suspended from the top.

Video is here, and I have it starting at the place where you notice the track end toward the bottom left of the ship.

It's still there and a very popular attraction.

That was definitely Peter Pan. My mom talked about it for decades after that.

Absolutely Peter Pan and it's still the same.

They had that same ride at Disneyland. It was part of Fantasyland. Fantasyland underwent a renovation in early 80s and the rides got worse in my opinion. The Snow White and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride were both way more fun in the 70s!
