I'm curious to know which galaxies are the nearest to the Milky Way but are not part of the Local Group. Thanks!

It looks like the M81 Group is not part of the local group and is only 11,000,000 ly away (practically next door). I found this by looking at the Virgo Supercluster page on Wikipedia.

Here is information about M81.

NGC 2403 is part of that group and only 8,000,000 ly away

But we can do better! NGC 55 and NGC 300 are about 6.5 million ly away. They were originally considered party of the Sculptor Group, but recent measurements show that they are just hanging out in the space between the Local Group and Sculptor Group.
