Definitely not in the mall, I'd have noticed...

Long shot, but would anyone have a more precise location for this recent archeological find of a satellite village of Teotihuacan in CDMX proper? The reports just say "1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) northwest of the city’s historical center."

A street number would be awesome, but I'd be happy with anything less vague than the reportage. Colonia? Parish? Approximate proximity to a well-known building? Don't worry, I'm not going to show up on their doorstep, this is just idle curiosity on my part and a good excuse for a long walk. I don't expect to see the actual dig, I just want to stand in the immediate vicinity while I try to imagine it.

Best answer: The paper the researchers published gives this location information (translated by Google):
They also explain that in his work La cerámica en Tlatelolco (1988), González Rul proposed that a tlatel , a town, could have existed since times before the founding of Tlatelolco on a natural islet that territorially occupied a large part of the Tlatelolca neighborhoods in Iztatla and Tolquechiuca, distributed in the territory that today is occupied by the streets of Privada Marte, Marte and Héroes, to the east; Star, south; Axis 1 North Guerrero, to the west; closing to the north within the Nonoalco-Tlatelolco Unit.

Best answer: More specifically, they say the actual excavation was near the intersection of Ricardo Flores Magón and Guerrero and they say it is along the edge of the Conjunto Urbano Nonoalco-Tlatelolco (which is a huge social housing project along the north side of the intersection).

They also say it is on a property of 400m2 and they worked on it until June, so if you want to get specific you can look for what is either an empty excavated lot or an ongoing construction project on a lot of about that size.
