Best site to sell concert tickets?

I purchased tickets for a concert I can no longer attend. I'd like to offer them up for sale somewhere so I can get some (all?) of my money back. What is the best site for relisting tickets?

It depends where you bought them from. Ticketmaster/LiveNation will sometimes let you resell through them, which usually works well. Sometimes that is turned off, and usually there are restrictions where you can't sell them at a discount. Which is a problem if the concert isn't sold out, or if it's general admission.

Stubhub is usually an option if they allow digital transfer, although they take a huge cut, and you have to be really careful to make sure to list everything correctly and do the ticket transfer right after they sell. Which isn't an issue with selling through Ticketmaster/LiveNation.

StubHub has been seamless for me, both for buying and selling.

Easiest will be through whomever is doing the ticketing for the actual show. That way you'll just have to listen them and everything else will be handled. I have season tickets for a couple sports teams, and if choose to sell them it takes like 20 seconds and then I am done forever.

If you do via a listing site that isn't handling the ticketing, you'll have to list it, pay attention when/if they sell, find out who the buyer is, and then transfer the tickets to that person.

You may also check out CashOrTrade.Org which is popular with Phish and similar bands, at least.

Ticketswap works extremely well for selling PDF tickets to strangers in a safe way.

I have sold tickets in the past by posting in Facebook groups/events, then doing the actual exchange via Ticketswap. You can also list your tickets directly on Ticketswap, although I haven't done that before so not sure how successful that is for getting them sold.

Start with the venue. I recently had to rehome a ticket for a show and found that venue was using an app called AXS Tickets, which made it super simple to transfer or resell tickets the tickets. Apps like this -- basically verified peer to peer reselling -- are one way that venues are trying to combat the plague of bot scalpers.
