Bug ID

Can you identify this flying bug? Small, about 2-3 mm. Bigger than a fruit fly/gnat, but smaller than a house fly. Usually seen sitting on walls around the house, not actively flying. Seems to appear in the spring and summer. Also, how can I get rid of them from my house?

Best answer: Looks like a drain fly to me. To get rid of them, clean out your drains.
