Bay Area Walks with a Pup

I would love any recommendations for Bay Area walks/hikes with my shih tzu.

I love bringing my dog to new places (and exploring them myself). I live in Pacific Heights in San Francisco and have a car so I can go wherever. I would love recommendations for nice hikes that are more like walks (like not a TON of up and down, not exceptionally long). I am thinking Marin but I'm open. I would prefer not a beach walk b/c I don't want to have to bathe my dog after.

East Bay Hills are where it's at! Sibley, Redwood, Joaquin Miller, parts of Tilden... For really flat going to Point Isabel is a Thing.. there is a dog wash and cafe on site and tons of dogs.

You can park at this Target and walk along the water - it’s not a beach, it’s a flat path near the water. The path appears to be called the “San Francisco Bay Trail.”

Another (shorter) nice flat path by the water is at the Loch Lomond Marina Park. There’s a short path around the harbor, so you have the harbor on side and the bay on the other.

I’m not sure if either of these are really worth the drive from SF though, but maybe they’re worth stopping by if you’re already in the area.

Response by poster: Update: the walk will definitely be in Marin because now I am meeting a friend there. Thanks!

Not a specific suggestion but I have found this website an amazing resource for hikes - they show mileage and elevation and have separate sections for dog hikes and kid hikes. Bay Area Hiker - Dog Hikes.
