Come on everybody Mousercise!

Did you do Disney's Mousercise in the 1980s or early 1990s? I had the cassette tape version and had no idea there was a tv series until I tried looking for the music as an adult and found whole episodes online. I'm trying to get a sense of how popular the album was and if other people actually followed along to the exercises.

To this day, I play episodes (with great success) when I am babysitting for friends' kids.

My whole school did this one or two summers in a row. The entire school (small) went out into the playground once a week to dance along to Mousercise over the PA system. .This was New Zealand

I went to a babysitter before school bc of my moms schedule and watched this every morning but I have no sense of it was coming on tv or a tape. Didn't do the exercises though lol.

i actually used to wake up early, voluntarily, to watch/do the videos!

I remember the TV show. No idea how long I stuck with it, but it apparently left enough of an impression on me that I was rattled decades later when I heard the host had died.

We listened to the record and did the exercises every morning at day camp in the 1980s. I am so going to Mousercise tomorrow, thanks for the reminder!

I remember Mousercise! I don't think I watched it often or did the exercises along with it in general, but I do remember it. I also had several Mickey Mouse albums/cassette tapes, and actually still get songs from Mickey Mouse Disco stuck in my head pretty frequently (primarily Watch Out for Goofy and Macho Duck).

We definitely had this album. I only remember that my favorite song was "Bug a Boo" and that I always felt like I was dancing it wrong

I had the record album as a kid in the 80s, which I think came with an album-sized booklet illustrating the exercises. I can remember listening to it on a kid-sized record player in my bedroom, but I can't quite call forth a solid memory of doing any of the exercises (though I imagine I did), and I definitely didn't know there was an accompanying video.

Oh, wait -- clicking on the sample page of exercises, I'm sure I did those while listening (but I bet sometimes I just scanned through the pictures as the album played).

I had this on vinyl and my sisters and I definitely did it. Good memories!

My family also had the record album in the 80's. I don't think the exercises were a regular thing, but we definitely did them from time to time.

Whoa, what a sense memory this triggered! We Mousercised along to the record every morning in our 2nd grade class. One song of Mousercising, next to our seat, every morning. Good times.

This was in small town Kansas, btw, if you need that detail for your highly personal research project/CIA psyops case file.

I was just kidding about the CIA stuff. You sound like a cool babysitter. :-)
