Earth Physics for kids?

My kids (6 and 10) were asking the greatest questions last night.
We got into a discussion about what the atmosphere is and that lead to hard to answer questions about gravity, how fast the world is spinning, why don't the trees fall over, how do rockets escape the atmosphere, etc, etc.
Got to a point quickly where I was tapped, and would like to find an easy to understand (does not have to be made for kids per say) documentary that covers these topics, and more!

Library. The habit of using the library and asking questions of Reference Librarians is a lifelong gift. They'll have books and videos and information.

I am totally on board with videos and library, but to your specific questions, you might also want to look at XKCD What If articles.
A staircase into space or the billion story skyscraper struck me as particularly entertaining and educational.
