MMQB replacement?

I'm looking for a regular weekly single page or article summary of the NFL game action and goings on. Preferably something well written and a little quirky and amusing rather than just straight up facts. I really don't want to have to click through dozens of articles like what SI's Monday Morning Quarterback has become. Anybody have any good recommendations?

Was going to recommend Gregg Easterbrook’s Tuesday Morning Quarterback (originally on espn2, most recently in the Washington Examiner) but it appears to be on hiatus while he completes a book. Might be a good follow on Twitter (https://twitter.com/EasterbrookG or https://twitter.com/tmqb) for updates on that. It was a really fun column. You can see archives of it.

I used to read Easterbrook, and would generally recommend him, but subjects repeat themselves from column to column with him. Sometimes that's good, sometimes it's more axe-grindy.

I usually read the two weekly wrap-ups at the Ringer, The Starting 11, and Winners and Losers.

Agreeing on The Ringer. Here's an example: Week 13 NFL Preview: Is Ravens-49ers Our Super Bowl Preview? (subtitle: "The best team in the NFC meets the hottest team in the league a week after both crushed in prime time. Plus, all the story lines, injuries, and info you need to know about every game.")

Prior comment was on a phone so linking was a little tough, but at least the text should have read:
"...the Ringer: The Starting 11 and Winners and Losers"

Winners and Losers shows up in the morning on Mondays. Robert Mays, a holdover at the Ringer from the Grantland days, actually writes two columns every Monday: The Starting 11, which shows up in the late afternoon or evening; and another more specific article on one particular development from the previous day that could use more than a few paragraphs.

Best answer: As you may be aware, Peter King is no longer writing MMQB. He now works for NBC, where he publishes Football Morning in America every Monday during the NFL season. Although it does contain some links to other stories, it's largely self-contained, and it's a weekly must-read for me. If you're looking for something like the "old" MMQB, that's as close as you're going to get.

Even though Deadspin's gone, Drew Magary still does his take on a preview: at Vice, at least for now.
