Where is a good place to watch Game of Thrones in NY?

I'm looking for a place to watch Game of Thrones tomorrow night in New York, preferably Manhattan (or near a subway/bus that will actually be running), somewhere relaxed with drinks that are NY reasonable to cheap. Any suggestions?

Professor Thom’s on like 13st and 2nd Ave is close to the L stop before Brooklyn and Union Square. Made NYT I believe, will definitely be a hardcore watch party so relaxed might not be the best term and you’ll have to get there early but it’ll be quiet. There’s bars all along that street, they were getting the overflow and were a bit better (no cover, somewhat less crowds). I’m traveling so I haven’t been to the area for this season but I can assure you there has to be a bar in that vacinity showing it even if they don’t advertise. Most places don’t like GOT fans because they don’t drink a lot and are sort of needy with questions and large groups, not the same as sports fans. Plus showing GoT is not legal, I don’t think anyone cares but they won’t advertise it usually. Your best bet is to do brunch tomorrow (today is Kentucky Derby) and in person start at Professor Thoms and go NORTH on 2 Ave, staying on the west side of the street and ask who is showing GoT. Fancier places are less likely to show it, but if you’re nice bartenders will tell you where to go. Gramercy Park Bar might be a good bet and is out of the NYU college sports sphere but still walkable, it is on 2nd Ave. any further south and you get into college bars and east will be too divey. I would be incredibly surprised if there wasn’t a bar in a three block radius showing it that meets your criteria. I lived right there and didn’t have HBO, finding what matches your criteria (sans relaxed, it got more crowded as the series progressed) was never an issue for me. Just be prepared to bring your laptop and getting there early. Drink or eat before the show (so they know you’ll tip), pay in cash if you want to get out after the show ends. Otherwise you’re dealing with a waitress who has a bunch of tables dividing up tabs all leaving at once.

This is all part of my “Geoff.’s guide to think you’re saving money but spent an entire day at a bar spending what HBO would have cost per month”

Professor Thoms is good, plus the give out free jello shots for big character deaths (which looks to be a good bet for the last three episodes). Will definitely be crowded though. If you feel like heading out to Brooklyn, Halyard's in Gowanus and Hinterlands in Kensington are both good.
