Please help me ID these bugs for a friend.
Please help me ID these bugs for a friend. They are 1/4" long and found inside a home on the window frame. The weather has been sunny and in the low 40's through the 70's.

seconding boxelder bugs. it's ladybug, boxelder bug, and stink bug season here in Portland

Best answer: yup, those are boxelders for sure. Bane of our existence when we owned our house here in Portland. PROTIP: Do not, tempting though it may be, kill one by squishing it. The stench is...not great.

Boxelder or elm seed bug. Either way, do not squish, they are stinky when crushed.
