This is a looooooong shot. But apparently there was a children's book in the 70s about children feeding the white geese at Magazine Beach in Cambridge, MA. Don't know the author or title. Ring any bells?

If you don't get an answer here, I'd suggest calling up the Cambridge MA Library and asking the staff there. They might have a copy in their collection, seeing as how it would be of local interest.

Yep, seconding to contact libraries in the area, and speak to the children's librarian.

Also, the main Boston Public Library in Copley Square specifically has a rare children's book room, open limited hours I think, if they don't have it no one does.

You could also ask Friends of the White Geese, who also have an active blog that might be managed by different people.

Was the book specifically about feeding the geese, or was that just a part of the larger story? And do you remember the age range of the book? Like, was it a little-kid picture book, a chapter book, maybe a book of stories or poems? I've been combing through our resources here at my library, and I'm coming up empty.
