Tell me about these berries!

What are they? Can I eat them (I didn't, they don't look very eaty)? I found them on the sunshine coast in BC and proceeded to fail at google.

Maybe red flowering currant berries?

Here's a whole article about them. I don't know anything about it, though, I just googled it, so don't eat them on the basis of just this blog post :)

I'm inclined to agree with feets. We had a flowering currant bush in our back garden when I was a kid, and the fruits looked just like that. As for eating them, I personally wouldn't. They're not cultured for their fruits, so they're not likely to be very palatable.
