What's the name of this path-based board game?

I'm trying to remember the name of a board game I used to play growing up. The objective was to make a path from one edge of the board to the other using square black-and-white tiles.

A few more things I remember: I don't think it was a widely released game and my parents bought it from an educational company or something like that. The arrangement of the tiles was based on a 3x3 grid, and to place one tile next to another, the edges had to match up, black to black and white to white. I think the name had four letters, and was vaguely Asian sounding , like "Inji." Google is not helping. Thanks!

Just incidentally, here's a list of tile-based path-building games in case you like the mechanic and would like to see how else it has been used.
