Resources for web publishers and editors?

I run a fairly large (~1m readers per week) website that publishes ~20 articles per week. I'm looking for resources that will help me do my job better: managing writers, keeping up to date with publishing trends and events, managing a community, and so on.

The site is somewhat similar to The Awl or xoJane, with a fairly broad range of topics. I have a team of editors and several writers. I have a background in journalism, and worked in marketing for a few years, so I'm familiar with content marketing resources and websites for journalists. What I'm specifically looking for is websites, books, forums, blogs, Twitter accounts, and so on, that are aimed at people who work in web publishing.

Where do web publishers, editors and journalists hang out online?

Contents Magazine.

You could look up the Twitter accounts of the editors of the websites you mentioned (e.g. Choire Sicha or Jane Pratt) and maybe look for who they're following and/or responding to.

You might find Jane Friedman broadly interesting on publishing, though she mostly focuses on book authors.

Columbia Journalism Review's Industry section and some of its comments might be useful.
