Whether to sell my coin collection

What should I do with my old coin collection--some silver, some not?

I have a very limited collection from my younger years. The saleable pieces include silver, which is valued higher at melt value than as a collectible. Also I have some complete Whitman coin folders--pennies and nickels, worth $10 and $20 on ebay, respectively.

I'd rather not lug it around anymore, but I dread selling something that would increase in value more than, say, a money market account right now. ;) What should I do?

Best answer: Sell the non-silver stuff. Hold on to the silver, which isn't a bad investment right now.

If you have some spare time and someone who would appreciate it, you can make a ring with the (less-valuable) silver coins.
