It's a gas, gas, gas

Help me build the custom camping stove of my dreams (SWF regulalor - stove mating question inside)
I have a propane camping stove that works with these stupid little non-refillable propane bottle (looks somewhat like this). A flexible hose allowed me to connect it to a standard refillable propane tank, but recently the stove's puny 15psi regulator started leaking gas all over the place (blew up?). I want to replace it with a regular high pressure regulator, adjustable to 15psi. This regulator comes with a hose and a regular "male" threaded connector (like for a gas grill). Of course, this will not connect to the stove, which requires a small threaded "female" connector. Is there any adapter / coupling out there that would allow me to connect the regulator to the stove? I've been looking around on the Web, but since I don't even really know how to call these things, or how are they are sized, I haven't come up with anything.

Response by poster: No, this would work only if I used the original regulator, with it's connection, to connect to the stove. What I need is something that would allow me to connect something like the hose you linked to directly to the stove (the regulator i linked to as a similar connector.)

Yea, I get the problem now (sorry, I hadn't had coffee yet when I answered before).
Looking at the hose you linked to, doesn't the small female end of the hose connect to your stove? The other end (near the regulator) is a POL fitting which is the old style connector, which would go to the tank. However, if you have a newish propane tank, you need a newer connector. For example, look at this hose. It's essentially the same as the one you linked but with an ACME fitting on it. The site has alot of different hose options and may be good just for reference.
If I am still not understanding what you are looking for, then I'll shut up now.

This could be problematic if the chrome pipe that connects to the stove also contains the orifice. Can you unscrew the brass connection between the stove and the connection pipe?
A quick search for "brass propane fittings" turned up these pages which seem to contain a fairly broad variety of fittings, maybe one of those will work for you.
