Dueling pianos in Minneapolis/St. Paul area?

Do you have any suggestions for a dueling pianos show in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area?

I've never been to one before, and I'd like to hear about the what's out there, which ones are better, busyness, etc.

I've already found The Shout House in a Google search, but I don't know anything about it besides what's on their web page. I have some friends who liked the dueling pianos show at Axel's Bonfire on Grand Ave. in St. Paul, but it seems they've stopped doing that recently.

The Shout House is the only one I have ever heard of in the Twin Cities. I've never gone myself, but it is generally pretty busy from the times I've walked past.

Do you have a "Howl at the Moon"? I've been to one in Bloomington, IN, and I know they are multiplying.

Super-fun, btw!!!

Shout House is pretty good; I don't know of any other dueling piano shows in the Twin Cities. If you want a guaranteed table you should show up before 7 (or reserve one), however, the show won't really start to gain steam until 8:30-9 or so when people have had a few drinks and are getting into it. They have a full menu of typical sports bar food which is adequate but not incredible. Order food before 7, otherwise expect a wait as the kitchen gets swamped. Your waitress will be incredibly busy, go easy on her. And it will get very loud, like ears-ringing-after-you-leave loud.

The Shout House will bring up a handful of people throughout the night to be humiliated by request, i.e. bachelorettes and bachelors. These songs are often raunchy and sexual, and finish with a mocking audience chant that goes "You bitch! You slut! You whore!" so keep that in mind if you have anyone in your group who may be offended by this. (they do say it to both genders and it's not done in a mean-spirited way).

Fridays and Saturdays are the best days to go for performer/audience liveliness, but will also be the most crowded nights. The pianists are all extremely talented and can handle (or figure out) almost any request, I've heard them play both Metallica and Weird Al. Your best chances for getting your request played are to include a cash tip, and pick a song that is drunk audience friendly: well known, easy to sing, lively tempo.

Actually, far as I know, they may still do dueling piano shows over at Axel's Bonfire on Grand Ave, in St. Paul. Far superior to Shout House, in my opinion.
