Where in Toronto should I take my visiting Dutch friend to watch tomorrow's World Cup Netherlands/Uruguay game?

I'll actually be in Oakville, but can drive pretty much anywhere in the GTA.

Best answer: There is a bar on King St, east of Jarvis called Betty's that was apparently full of Netherlands fans during the last game, who rushed onto the street to celebrate when the game ended.

Yes, I've also heard that Betty's is the place that Dutch fans traditionally congregate for soccer games.

from The Globe and Mail:

THE NETHERLANDS
School Bakery and Café
70 Fraser Ave.
(416) 588-0005

National intel: Over 200 Dutch soccer fans will gather at School Bakery to watch their beloved underachieving team play. David Vanderpoel, a marketing manager who organized the party at School, says he will be decidedly absent from his desk that day. He'll be dressed head-to-toe in orange, the Dutch team colour, and his golden-doodle will be wearing an orange jumper. "Think of us as an orange army," he says. The bright colours belie silent desperation. "We are always one of the favoured teams. We are always full of hope. And then there is grief when we lose in the semifinal. It's a wonderful, long, suffering experience."

The pitch: School Bakery owner Brad Moore will be on hand to keep an eye on his guests. "I'm going to try and make sure no one paints the building orange."

The grub: Poffertjes (tiny inflated pancakes) and kroket (fried mincemeat and gravy) and plenty of Grolsch and Heineken will likely ease the sorrow.

Hup hup!!

Where do you take a Dutch friend to see the final soccer game on a 100" big screen and in surround sound? The Eton House of course!!! 710 Danforth Ave (1 Block east of Pape Ave and Pape Station. So park your car and jump on the better way and have a couple of pints and wear ORANGE.

The Dutch Head Quarters on the Danforth.

If traveling to the west end of the city is too far, join us at The Eton House. Where a bunch of friendly people from Zaandam and Amsterdam are getting together to watch to final game.

Tail gate party starts at NOON. Prize for the best orange.
GO DUTCH GO!! HUP HUP!!

Grub: Hagels on toast, croquettes and plenty of Heineken

Call the bar for to reserve a spot.
