Equipment rental near Humboldt Redwoods SP?

Are there places to rent bikes and/or boats near Humboldt Redwoods State Park in CA?
We're headed up to Humboldt Redwoods State Park for the weekend. The park website mentions boating and biking as prime park activities. However, it also states that boats are not available for rent in the park, and says nothing about bike rentals. But would we find a place to rent this equipment anywhere near the park? Myers Flat, perhaps?
General suggestions for activities in or around the park are also welcome. Thanks! Super-strenuous hikes would be deprecated, though, as I'm there in part to run a marathon on Sunday.

Oh man. You're running Avenue of the Giants. I love that race. The expo is very small. You'll be in and out in about 10 minutes which will leave you the entire day to explore. (Note: The expo is in a little parking lot under a bridge. The first time we did that run we couldn't find the expo, because we were looking for a building.)
If you're in the mood for a scenic drive on Saturday, the "lost coast" loop is pretty awesome.

Also Ft. Bragg on the coast or Eureka up 101 might have bike rentals.
