My significant other went wild with a copy of this book at age six (with corrections at age 10). Help me find something like this for grownups (or not).

Ideally, I'm looking for something with fun prompts that we can work on together (doesn't have to be designed for multiple people, as long as it can be used that way.) It can be "couple-y" or not, so long as it is goofy and mostly writing-based. If it was focused on autobiography/telling stories about each other that would be extra neat, but not a requirement. Any other silly, participatory books of any kind would be great to hear about also!

Listography is pretty neat. the book has funny/silly/cute illustrations, and space for lists about bands you've seen live, your favourite books, magazines you read, all of the people you've ever lived with, etc.

i just saw on Amazon that the makers of Listography also made Love Listography, but i'm not sure if it's geared towards one person and their love life or if it's couple-y.

and finally, this book appears to be the grown-up version of the one your SO had as a child.

(Whee! This is my first hive mind post! Hello!)

I think the value of a book like that written at age six, is that it captures your SO's six-year-old essence -- personality, hopes, dreams, favorite things, etc.

The closest thing I can think of (that is mostly writing-based) is the Proust Questionnaire. It's a nicely packaged, hardcover version containing these famous questions. You learn a lot about yourself in the process.

Enjoy!

The Autobiography Box isn't really silly, but it does have lots of prompts.
