Black female scientists in the Bay Area?

I'd like to write a profile on a black female scientist in the San Francisco bay area (Stanford, UCSF, Berkeley, Davis, Santa Cruz)...anyone know of any?

have to be a professor? you could just call up a particularly large department and ask around for a postdoc or grad student....

Response by poster: yeah, it should be a professor, who runs a lab and a research program. If there aren't any black female scientists in the SF Bay area, what about black male scientists?

The only black female physicist I knew was a postdoc. But perhaps the National Society of Black Physicists could help.
