Needing Some Sunshine

I'm trying to find a book centered around the song "You Are My Sunshine".

Long story short, I sing this song to my 3 year old nephew all the time, whether rocking him to sleep or just playing with him. They recently moved and whenever he misses me, he sings this song to himself. (Yeah, quite the tear-fest when I heard this)

Anyway, I'm trying to find a book that sort of illustrates the lyrics or ideals of this song. I don't know if this exists even.

I did find one book, but it was out of print or unavailable.

I don't want a DVD or video or anything, either, just a book.

Help?

Response by poster: I found that book, but it's for sale to educators only. I couldn't find it any other place, either.

Thanks though!

You can register yourself as an "educator" - they don't require any independent confirmation.

I can't help but think that anything that draws too much explicit attention to the lyrics and underlying scenario would be a pretty creepy gift for a little kid.

I'll always love you
And make you happy
If you will only say the same
But if you leave me
To love another
You'll regret it all some day.

You told me once, dear
You really loved me
And no one else could come between
But now you've left me
And love another
You have shattered all my dreams.

Response by poster: Redfoxtail - You're right - A bit creepy. Good thing the books are all centered around the main "sunshine" chorus and that's all I sing to him anyway.

Thanks Ryanshepard & Czechmate - I'm ordering now!

How is that any worse than "and the cradle will fall, and down will come baby, cradle and all"?

Nursery rhymes are often quite macabre.

It's creepier. It's a direct threat. Way creepier than a mere accident.
Saying "if you leave me" and making threats to someone who is already with another... creepiest.
