Help me figure out what old classic cartoon this image is from!?

Could you identify this old classic cartoon from the image I provided?

Ok! I'll try to explain! I made a video a few years ago using footage from an old cartoon which I forget. I removed the animated character and replaced it with images of myself. I have since lost the original video files. I am trying to remake it. I still have the images but not the audio or the original video files. I want to put the original sound back in but I can't remember what cartoon it was from. I think it may be a van beuren one? I can't remember. I bought it from one of those 1 dollar bargain dvd things that you see in grocery stores etc. Check the link below. It is an animated gif. Sorry I can't provide more information. I remember something with plates being broken too! It had a main character but I don't remember what it looked like. Thanks!

Looks like an early Fleischer to me, but that's a guess.

I assume you are referring to the staircase in the background and not to the human figure in the foreground. The foreground figure is clearly modern, while the staircase is in the style of early Fleischer (Out of the Inkwell).

There's some similar action in the Fleischer short Bimbo's Initiation, but no staircase.

I would've said Fleischer, too, based on the way the stairs throb. I seem to be in very good company.

Yeah, I was leaning towards Fleischer too but I can't seem to find the specific cartoon. Bimbo seems like he would be the right character but I'm not sure. I keep remembering something about Cinderella in the story too. Betty Boop was not in it though!

I would be inclined to say Van Buren myself as opposed to Fleischer, but that's a gut reaction to the style. It looks too sketchy for Fleischer to me, whereas Van Buren were more bottom of the barrel in terms of backgrounds and so on. Still, the throbbing staircase is a clue, as mumkin says. I wish I could be of more help... Maybe try the Hollywood Animation Archive?

Van Bueren might be right. I recognized a specific van beuren cartoon (circus one) as being on the same disc as the dvd. I looked up quite a few of those cartoons already but haven't found the right one yet.
