Help me identify an acne scarred actor

While flying from Montreal to Chicago, I saw a guy on my plane that I'm sure is an actor. I know in retrospect I should have just asked him who he was, but I didn't, so now I need some help.
Here's what I noticed about him - he is probably 40+ years old, Caucasian, reasonably tall (6') and a bit heavier set. He has lighter features, light brown straight hair (not bald), he is able to speak both English and French fluently, and for some reason really reminds me of the zucchini from Veggie Tales.
I know the first actor that comes to mind when I think of 'acne scarred' is Robert Davi the FBI agent in the original Die Hard but it's not him.
The person I'm thinking of hasn't been in anything really big so if you could go through and list some actors that you think fit the bill, I'd be really grateful.
BTW - I'm in Canada, so Canadian TV is certainly a possibility.

That would have been slightly rude, so be glad you didn't do it.

Or Michael Lonsdale, although he doesn't look much like a zucchini.

The zucchini makes me think of Judge Reinhold, but I don't think he has acne scars.

Alan Ruck? He's more like that zucchini... again, no acne scars, but I love the question.

Response by poster: thanks for the continuing feedback, but it's not those guys.
dawdle: it was over a year ago and probably on Air Canada; if you can really look into it, I'll dig up the details.

When I think pockmarked actor, I think John Hemphill, who was on SCTV among other things, and whose name I just learned.

It's extremely weird that this video is apparently the only thing on the whole internet with John Hemphill in it (skip to 1:38), except for this and this, where he appears very, very briefly at the end.

Response by poster: none of these so far, I think that Noah Emmerich is the closest so far both in looks and relative obscurity (he's not too famous). Thanks for all the suggestions, keep them coming!

John Vernon? Canadian, character actor. Died two years ago though! I thought it was worth a shot - maybe you were on that plane two years ago instead of one...
