Can I pre-order the new Radiohead album? If so, how much will it cost?

This post was deleted for the following reason: please don't use ask metafilter for stunt posts, go to the radiohead post on the blue to talk about radiohead's innovative pricing strategy.

According to BoingBoing you can pre-order the box set for $80 on the inrainbows web site and the downloads for a price you choose yourself (!). The downloads are also included with the box set. Downloads ship on October, 10th and the box set on December, 3rd. I couldn't check this myself, because the site doesn't respond - probably flooded.

I think the price is set as (number of Roadiohead posts currently visible on the front page) / (number of Radiohead posts deleted in the last hour) * 63.

The download is based on a voluntary payment system - set your own price - but there is a compulsory credit card processing fee which I think is GBP £0.45. (Ironically enough the anti-corporate Radiohead have found a way to lose themselves money while pouring profits into the hands of the global banks!)

According to this discussion board thread, you can set your price to 0.00 and it will bypass the credit card capture screen altogether.
