Why would somebody make this bizzare website?

What is the purpose of this website? Al'Qadea code? Bizzare marketing scheme? Something even more sinister?

I googled the phrase "dick van dyke appliance connection to actor" in an attempt to discover if the appliance store in central Illinois was related to the actor who was raised in Danville, Illinois. On the front page of links was this strage link, which doesn't seem to be serving any purpose other than to cyber squat on a url that seem exceedingly unlikely to be wanted by anyone, ever. Any better ideas?

This post was deleted for the following reason: I think people already answered this and this page is causing all sorts of trouble.

NSFW btw.

It's just a keyword spam page. Automated programs look at referring URLs to see what people searched for, someone in the past probably searched for 'dick van dyke' and hit another spam page, program thought it was good, created that page in response.

Welcome to the intertubes, you googled dick and dyke, you got a porn site.

I doubt Al Qaeda communicates with porn, but if they do, the right wing is gonna have a field day.

It's random porn keyword spam, and don't post crap like that without a warning.

Alright, but can anyone explain the bizarre leap-frog style double-scroll bars?

Its to stop porn filters. They put up non-porn text.

Careful - malware abounds at that site - you might not see it since it apparently rotates pages and changes content, but make sure your AV is up-to-date.

You seem to have totally overlooked the fact that you found the page through google while searching for something so it clearly has served its intended purpose -- to get hits and make money selling ads and malware.

Also notable for the first justified use of the blink tag I've seen.

thanks, anthill. I debated whether or not to blink/bold it, but glad to see it's getting attention. It appears there are a couple recent variants of the Storm virus that it's trying to push but I'm not at a machine where I can do some further analysis.

Keyword spam. They want you to click on the pictures of semen dripping out of vaginas so they can make money. That dick van dyke and so on thing is just a subdomain, they just paid for "tipsheetfile.cn" and then put the keywords into a subdomain, like cocks-cocks-cocks.tipsheetfile.cn and such.

Also this is probably the first time a direct link to butt-fucking, lesbians, dicks, and cum-drenched vaginas, all on one page, has been posted on AskMe.

Can we kill this thread? It seems to have already fulfilled it's purpose as well, and no good can come of leaving it up.

Mods might be asleep and therefore not up for killing the thread. M and J aren't on chat anyway...

Yep, I know. I emailed. Hard to kill in your sleep. But I didn't think they let Cortex sleep, being the n00b and all.

From my experience, you should always check with the girlfriend first.

I wish I would have clicked on the comments before clicking that god damn link. I am at work, an luckily the page was BLOCKED by filter software, but none the less this kind of shit pisses me off.

We need a way to mark content as questionable or NSFW in case the poster decides not to. I will say that this page must incorporate some pretty special code being that it completely fucked with the 'Blocked' page that our company uses. I have seen that page many times and NEVER has the background been gray and the text screwed as it was.

Flagged. keep_evolving, you NEED to warn people if you're attaching a link to a porn site.
