Help me find a website that will email me when any of a list of authors I've selected publish new books. Failing that, a website I can visit for the same effect.

Barnes and Noble writer alerts?

If they're with Random House, you could try this site., and maybe other publishers do the same?

My public library also allows me access to a service called NoveList that it seems, allows me to create alerts similar to what your looking for.... haven't tried it out though.

I second B&N and Random House (this is under Harper Collins, which also offers this feature) ... I have a lot of interest in this type of thing and I think the key is like google/yahoo groups for specific types of writing. Also, many authors with websites have a mailing list.
