A friend is graduating from the USA and wants to work in news or publishing in the UK or ROI, but we need some help...
She has a good degree from a great Vermont college. I have lots of links with UK radio, but I am clueless about publishing and newspaper industries in the UK and Ireland.
She's figured out the visas and everything is set in that department, but she needs to figure out how to put a foot in the door.
Are there any writers, publishers, editors, or others on this board who would not mind taking twenty or so minutes aside so she can have an informational interview by phone or e-mail to answer some of her questions and give some real advice?
