Nitter substitute?

It seems like the last instance of Nitter (the site that allows you to read Twitter without being logged in) has died, according to this. Has anyone found an instance of Nitter that works? Or a workaround on Twitter's attempt to kill this useful site? Or another service or similar way to access Twitter?

Best answer: For the moment, https://nitter.unixfox.eu/

Response by poster: Thanks, that's so helpful! How did you find this instance? For example, in the page I linked to, it says, "All of the instances listed in the table below are no longer working." Previously, when one site didn't work, I'd find another domain, but at this point, I don't know how to find the versions of nitter that are working.

Best answer: Not an answer to your question, but as a heads up if you are willing to log in if you have to, Musk has made mention of requiring ID to set up new accounts in the future. If you want to maintain at least semi-anonymous access, you might want to set up a burner now.

Best answer: About a week ago I wrote a long post on social media (to friends only) lamenting this final death of Twitter, and expressing my sadness over the four accounts that I was now cut off from regularly checking. Immediately after posting that, I discovered that TWstalker is still working. For example, here's my #1 destination, for space launch updates.

TWstalker is not a Nitter instance per se, so is using a different mechanism, and I don't know if That Techbro Guy will eventually shut that one off too. But for now it's working.

Response by poster: Unfortunately, it looks like the nitter.unifox.eu link is no longer working. Let me try the TWstalker link.

I previously had a Twitter account with not a few followers, but deactivated it, as it was too distracting. Unfortunately, someone took my twitter handle and I can't log back in and get my previous information on who I followed and who followed me. I've tried Twitter customer support, but they have been unsurprisingly terrible.

I'm debating whether I should just start a new username temporarily...
