I have a Brother Laser Printer (DCP L2540DW). It isn't printing because "Optical Photoconductor Life Over". Google has lots of conflicting info about what that means and what I need to buy. Do you know?

Best answer: A Brother laser printer has two consumable parts. The toner and the drum. This message is telling you the drum needs to be replaced.

The official replacement part you need is DR630 ($90+). Amazon sells multiple unofficial replacements for much less. I use unofficial replacements and have never had any problems.
