Pee-Wee's Playhouse cards (seen here.) Who is the artist that drew them? I know Art Spiegelman drew some cards for Topps, but these look more like Lynda Barry's work.

Best answer: Gary Panter, I believe.

Best answer: Actually, it looks like Panter was only one influence / contributor of several, none of whom Topps credited.

Best answer: I don't know for a fact but Wayne White did a lot of work on the show and may have been involved in them.

Best answer: This Dangerous Minds article features more info, including this comment: "Dear Dangerous Minds- I was the editor and art director (as well as a writer & artist) on this fine product. A fun exercise and a logistical nightmare. Wayne White and art spiegleman didn't work on them-- but those who did include Ric Heitzman, J.D. King, Kaz, Charles Burns, Stephen Kroninger, Tomas Bunk, Richard McGuire and others. And of course, Gary Panter is the man responsible for the Pee-Wee Aesthetic."
