Going away present for friend moving to Baltimore

A friend and her partner are moving to Baltimore soon and I’d like to get them a nice going-away gift. Something to help them get acclimated to their new city would be nice — or an experience like a museum or restaurant or something else. L-friendly is a plus. Roughly $100 is my range. Ideas?

Best answer: The American Visionary Art Museum is, imho, the coolest museum in Baltimore.

Bumping AVAM. It's an awesome place.

Came to suggest the AVAM too. Membership info. Annual membership for a couple is $75.

I came here to recommend AVAM as well. I've only been to Baltimore once but AVAM was the high point of my trip, really a wonderful museum.

Best answer: I totally agree with the AVAM plan first, but just to offer another option, membership at the Baltimore Museum of Art is $85/year for a family. They've made a (not wholly uncontroversial, in the museum world) pledge to purchase only art created by women this year, and most of this year's exhibitions are also made up of only art by women.
