Where can I hear għana music in Malta?
February 25, 2020 3:34 AM
I'll be in Malta for two weeks in March. While researching all things Maltese in preparation I have developed a taste for their traditional song form known as għana. Anyone know of places I could go to hear some live?
Have you checked any travel guidebooks? Seems like something that would be in a backpacker-style guidebook (your library might have one you could check out).
You might want to ask this question on a Malta-specific travel forum. Here is one example, but there are others. Sounds like fun, good luck!

Thanks to all for your kind efforts to help. I hit the jackpot following fingersandtoes's suggestion. Dr. Ciantar responded straight away and now I am looking forward to a fine għana-filled Sunday morning in a Maltese village bar. Cheers!
