Why is masculinity so fragile?

Women don't get half as salty about their femininity. WHY?
Examples:
- Men teasing a woman, then snapping when someone jokes back
- Men getting super sour if they are interrupted
- Lots of men being slightly homophobic
Why is this?
Also more examples would be nice.

Misogyny.
The Patriarchy.
Sexism.
Basically society values all things MAN over anything else.
So if you imply that some dude's behavior is in any way out of line with being a man, then you get that saltiness.
Of course that's on a population level and individuals vary.
