How many paid days off do you get each year?

How many paid days off do you receive from your employer each year, what type of employer is it, and where do you live?
I'm curious as to the differences around the world, and between different types of employers (i.e. government vs. private sector, unionized vs. non-unionized, big company vs. small company etc) in terms of the paid days off received from employers. I have in mind both the days that are given every year (i.e. paid holidays like New Year's day), and days that are offered, but not necessarily taken in any given year (like vacation time and sick leave). You may want to mention whether the latter type of leave can carry over from year to year, or whether it is of the "use it or lose it" variety.
For example, you might have X paid holidays each year, Y sick days, and Z vacation days, for a grand total of Q, and are eligible to carry over up to N sick days and P vacation days from year to year.
