Thought up a legal path to dislodge President-Elect Trump before January 20?

Most of my friends have given up hope (or become really, really cynical) about what is immediately ahead of us as citizens of the US and the world. However, I have been working alongside random Dems, lefties, Independents, and activists ever since November 9th to legally dislodge Donald Trump before he is sworn in as 45th President of the US. For instance, swaying the electors only taught us that the Electoral College serves no purpose but positively it brought global attention to the US movement to fight Trump and Trumpism.

As the inauguration is now less than a month away, I am turning to Metafilter for strategic insight and inspiration. My thought here is that while one person may or not have a workable plan, a number of suggestions by ever-surprising and resourceful hive mind together combine in a way to effectively block the impending inauguration of Trump. I'm open to all sorts of ideas or plans. Points for creativity. And humor! Like Emma Goldman famously opined, "If I can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution."

Inversely, at this time I am not interested in suggestions that amount to accepting President Trump [sic] and gathering steam for the next election. If that's the plan, I can work on that after January 20. In the meantime, as I breathe, I hope.

Please note, I am not mad at Donald Trump personally. I wish him no ill will. However, I remember when he made fun of a person with a handicap. At that moment, he became my nemesis and I intend to do everything within my constitutionally-asserted power as a US citizen to prevent the man from becoming our next President–as I never want to look back and think, "If only I had done more".

BTW, fighting against this tide has been empowering. Unlike my many friends who feel depressed, sad, or openly despondent, I feel empowered. For instance, while initially I had deactivated my FB account–I didn't want people to imagine it was business as usual after the election–I reactivated it when Jill Stein led the recount movement. It failed in its immediate objective but it was doing something. And I have have not let up since. Yesterday I even got a number of requests–from Trump supporting friends, yes I have them–to let it go "for Christmas". I replied by asking did they know why we don't remember the US soldiers who took a break while fighting to protect the US and defend the world against Nazi Germany? Because, I explained, they didn't. #resist

This post was deleted for the following reason: I can appreciate the spirit of this thing, but kinda wide-net "just gimme your ideas" brainstorming about something with this kind of scope isn't really a good fit for Ask. -- cortex
