OK so site is down for just me: now what

Hellllllllp. The file sharing site I use for a job has been up and down all day, but now it's apparently "up", and I still can't access it. How can I get back in? I am on a SUPER URGENT HOLY SHIT deadline and this thing REALLY needs to get fixed. Like now. Things I have tried below the fold.
(For the record, the site is www.box.com, and I am on a Mac).
I've tried it in Firefox and Chrome, no good in either one.
Firefox: Server not found
Chrome: DNS Error
I've cleared caches on both browsers
quit and restarted browsers
restarted computer
reset modem
What am I missing?

Quite possibly being affected by this large-scale denial of service attack on a DNS provider:

There is currently a distributed denial of service on DNS services across the internet. In lay terms, some jerks are flooding the infrastructure that looks up where servers are and it's crashing.
You can try setting a different DNS entry on your computer. Google runs DNS servers at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. If you tell us what kind of computer you are using, we can give you more instructions.

Oh, it says a Mac, go to System Preferences.
Choose Network.
Choose Advanced.
Choose the DNS tab.
Click the plus near the bottom.
Add 8.8.8.8
Click the plus again.
Add 8.8.4.4
Drag those two to the top of the list.
Good luck!

DNS servers, but it doesn't help. :(
Why do jerks have to be such jerks?

We also use Box at the DC-based company I work for and it still isn't working for me or my colleagues either, FYI.

You have to let your client know you're experiencing something akin to an internet outage. There's nothing you can do.

Response by poster: Argh yeah, it is no good. It's apparently working fine for the folks at the home office, but none of us remote folks can get to it.

Best answer: OK, instead of the 8's, try these.
208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
They worked for me in MN.

If folks in the home office can access the site, can you ask a colleague to share the necessary file/s with you via some other means (e.g., Dropbox or FTP) as a temporary stopgap? Then at least you can keep working toward your deadline while the DNS issues get resolved.

advicepig's OpenDNS option seems to be holding up better than Dyn/Level3/Route51/Google because OpenDNS uses what it calls "smart caching" to ignore TTLs when there's no response or SERVFAIL upstream.
209.244.0.3 (Level3) is also working for me, though other Level3 resolvers seem iffy.
Anyone tested just using /etc/hosts? 74.112.185.90 and 107.152.24.196 are the A records for www.box.com.
