Help me stand and sit the right way.

Am I keeping proper posture when walking or sitting? Also, is it healthy to suck in your stomach?
I've had a big belly and have been overweight for quite awhile. Ever since grade school, I gained the unhealthy habit of sucking in my stomach. I think this habit contributed to my poor posture.
It's unhealthy to keep your stomach sucked in right?
If I relax my stomach, I end up with this enormous stomach. I know it's a good idea to lose weight, and I'm attempting to do so. But it's just really big and makes it a lot harder for my pants to sit at my wasit. Also, when I relax my stomach, my back feels a lot better because I'm arching my lower back. The same thing happens when I sit down in my car or chair. My lower/middle back touches the seat and my shoulder blades fall forward. I try to realign myself, arching my lower back and pushing my shoulders back - but it feels achey after awhile because I'm using my muscles to hold my posture.
First off, is that even a healthy posture? If it is, what exercises could I do to help me keep proper posture?
Tips and exercises would be very helpful,
thanks!
