Can you recommend a jewelry store in the St Louis, MO area?

I'm hoping to get engaged in about a year so I think it's time to start looking at rings. I've been all over Etsy and it's great, but I'd also like to visit some brick and mortar stores in my area.
I am not looking for a traditional engagement ring so I really don't want to pop into Shaneco. She wants an alternative stone-- probably emerald-- and ideally I'd like to keep the ring expense for both of us under $1000, to include her engagement ring and our wedding bands, but offline I just don't know where to go. This area is pretty traditional and conservative with engagement jewelry and all of our friends have diamond solitaires. I am fully willing to drive about 100 miles in any direction from the city to find the perfect ring, and am totally open to antique stores and pawn shops if any are recommended. Thanks for any ideas.
(She doesn't know I'm on Metafilter so don't worry about that, and we are both ladies to help with pronoun use.)
