Stopping Spam on Forums

I am doing Camp Nanowrimo and today the forums were overrun with spam, virtually all the first and second pages of some sub-forums were spam. It appears to be mostly Korean. Does anyone have any suggestions how to deal with it, and if so, could you please pass them on to NanoWrimo.org. It is most annoying!
