What kind of server does Hillary Clinton have for personal email?

Hillary Clinton has recently had to address her use of a personal email address, hdr22@clintonemail.com, for work. While my own email archive is not nearly so voluminous, and will likely never be a matter of national history, this controversy and the patchwork of federal policies on email archiving are only adding to my already irrationally high paranoia about losing my own email. What kind of server did Clinton use to send and receive email? It seems like the more I hear about it, the crappier it sounds.

I actually wouldn't be surprised that Clinton, either as New York's senator, presidential candidate, secretary of state, paid speaker, or Clinton foundation figurehead, had an enterprise-level network tied to a private T-1 line out of her Georgetown or Chappaqua homes. It'd be great for, you know, personal email, videoconferences at home, Netflix, shopping on Amazon... normal stuff. The whole thing reminds me of the Simpsons episode "Das Bus" (#5F11) where Comic Book Guy asks "I'm interested in upgrading my 28.8 kilobaud Internet connection to a 1.5 megabit fiber optic T1 line. Will you be able to provide an IP router that's compatible with my token ring Ethernet LAN configuration?" Certainly the Clintons have a Comic Book Guy of their own.

I'd like to know more about the decision to delete over 30000 emails she deemed to be personal. I know people have criticized her for this, but I actually suspect that when she says she "had no reason to save them" (and may not even have read them), it's just a reflection of the current moment in the culture. I bet there are lots of people who are only just now realizing they might need a way to keep track of their digital correspondence and communication over the long term, and they don't have the slightest idea how.
